Global Credit Controller

Purpose of position

To maximise Awin’s cash flow and minimise the risk of bad debts by proactively managing the collection of debt while retaining the goodwill of our global advertisers.

Key Tasks

Key responsibilities within this superb role include:
  • Chasing outstanding debt via phone, email and fax
  • Sending copy invoices/statements
  • Monitoring advertiser credit limits and applying for increases where appropriate.
  • Adhering to internal credit policies and procedures  
  • Answering traffic light system questions
  • Dealing with other advertiser queries
  • Liaising with Client Services and other departments regarding advertiser
  • Checking the bank accounts daily to check cash receipts and assist with any cash allocation questions.
  • Preparation of documents for legal instruction. 
  • To attend regular internal debtor meetings to discuss debts and appropriate next steps.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate contact details in accounting software.
  • Assistance with the management of merchant POs and bespoke requirements.
  • Any additional ad hoc tasks requested by the Credit Risk Manager/other Finance management.
  • Work to cash collection targets, deadlines and internal KPI’s
Whilst the above is a guide to general expectation of the role, we expect this position to evolve allowing you greater scope to gain both knowledge and experience within the online and affiliate market place.

Skills & Expertise

To be successful you will need to meet the below requirements.
  • Previous global credit control experience, preferably within a marketing environment.
  • Excellent computer literacy including MS word, outlook, Excel.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX and OnGuard an advantage.
  • Eye for detail and methodical approach.
  • Able to plan and prioritise workload, ensuring that all deadlines are achieved.
  • Highly confidential and discreet.
  • Strives to continually improve productivity and quality of work produced.
  • Is self motivated and a self-starter. 
  • Understands the importance of processes and procedures and the application of these.
  • Possess strong communication (both verbal and written), and customer service skills, and exchange information with others clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to meet attendance standards and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees, along with working with external suppliers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision once trained.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Credit Control role and/or full CICM qualification
  • Good standard of academic achievement (A-Level or Degree).
You will be expected to have good understanding of affiliate marketing is and what we do in the industry for any role within Awin.
