Senior Key Account Manager

Purpose of position

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned affiliate marketing professional to play an integral role in the fast paced and hugely rewarding environment of Client Services. The role will allow a confident and motivated individual to gain team leadership experience while working with some of the biggest brands on the network in the US.

As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will provide leadership, guidance and training to members of the Key Accounts team in the US while also providing direct account management services to between 1 and 5 large brands.  

Key Tasks

Key responsibilities within this superb role include:
  • Develop and deliver program strategies – devising innovative and new account management ideas that produce competitive and successful merchant programs.
  • Support Key Accounts team staff with developing strategies for their programs. Assist Account Director in monitoring and measuring success of campaigns.
  • Support the Account Director with producing training programs and content to address team needs and further Key Account team growth.
  • Train, consult and guide team on all aspects of successful campaign management across Awin’s core beliefs. Be a role model for the wider team by embracing and demonstrating Awin’s core values.
  • Proactively support the US team when necessary and be a reference point of knowledge and expertise for more junior members of the team.
  • Produce network and industry insights quarterly for the wider Account Management team to leverage in client QBRs and updates.
  • Contribute to company objectives and deliver against personal targets, monitoring activity on a regular basis.
  • Work independently to produce all necessary account management documentation and deliver regular reports on assigned programs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, publishers, vendors and all internal stakeholders via email, phone and face-to-face.
  • Proactively solve issues with assigned clients, escalating issues to the appropriate team level when necessary. Act as a point of escalation when necessary.
  • Regularly leverage & utilize advanced platforms (ie: Tableau, eMarketer, etc.) to produce insightful reports and analyses for assigned clients and in support of wider network activities.
  • Proactively recruit new affiliates across the portfolio and project manage affiliate migrations in collaboration with clients and publisher team and build a working relationship with top 50 affiliates on network.
  • Assist in client pitches, produce quarterly program reviews, case studies, best practice guides, white papers or other relevant communication that highlight opportunities and educate all stakeholders on successful campaign concepts and strategies.
  • Attend appropriate client and networking events to enhance client and publisher relationship development.

Skills & Expertise

To be successful you will need to meet the below requirements:
  • 3+ years’ account management experience across a number of verticals (such as fashion, travel, ticketing) and strong understanding of the affiliate marketing industry, incl. of commission models, tracking solutions, APIs, and various affiliate types.
  • Strong knowledge of Awin’s core competencies and ability to speak intelligently about these, selling related activity in with program strategy recommendations.
  • Fast learner with strong team orientation and positive attitude
  • Ability to be proactive with clients and internal team members at all times
  • Ability to be flexible and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office suit, specifically MS Excel and willingness to learn new technology systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience
