Senior Business Developer

Purpose of position

We are looking for a motivated individual who will excel in developing new business opportunities with leading brands in the North American market.

Working in the New Business department, this role offers the successful candidate the opportunity of joining a dynamic US sales team in a leading global digital marketing network. The individual will be responsible for building new relationships/partnerships with blue chip companies and digital agencies in North America, while maximizing upsell opportunities and network revenue. 

Key Tasks

Key responsibilities within this role include:
  • Develop & maintain a North American prospect/brand sales pipeline, using salesforce CRM system for pipeline management
  • Fulfilling all aspects of successful sales cycles (RFI’s, RFP’s, quotes, presentations, reporting, and contracts)
  • Achieve 75 outbound calls/emails per week
  • Conduct 8 meetings with prospects per month
  • Closing business on a monthly basis, delivering and surpassing monthly/quarterly targets
  • Educate new prospects about Awin, our market position, technology and the North American market
  • Renegotiating contracts with existing clients
  • Adopting a consultative & mature approach, engaging with senior decision-makers about strategic market trends, industry progression and online developments
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information to the team
  • Manage the transition of new advertiser accounts through finance, technical and account development teams for launch onto the network
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and customers
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role

Skills & Expertise

  • 5 years + business development experience, including 2+ years of either digital or SAAS sales
  • Proven sales background, securing high revenue business from Internet Retailer Top 1,000 companies
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Self-motivation, ambition and initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive and dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), including experience of C-Level presentations  
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a nationwide and international team
  • High degree of resilience and persuasiveness
  • Excellent computer literacy including all MS Office applications
