Global Technical Consultant

Purpose of position

Working as a GA Technical Consultant within the Global Accounts Technical Services department, you will be assisting in launching some of the top brands onto our network by providing high level Technical Support during and after the Integration Process. This is a fast-paced role where you will be liaising with both the client’s marketing and technical team to make sure the implementation of our bespoke online tracking technology is successfully delivered on time in accordance with the agreed campaign specifications.

The role demands a “thinking outside of the box” approach to be able to assist and/or advise on bespoke solutions, as well as the ability to analyse and debug tracking issues.

The successful candidate has an interest in digital marketing, a flexible yet thorough approach to problem solving processes, possesses excellent attention to detail and must be able to provide guidance and support to other team members.

Key Tasks

Key responsibilities within this superb role include:
  • Assisting clients when launching on the Network by providing detailed and thorough Technical Integration Support
  • Debugging the client tracking tag implementations for errors and provide feedback on possible solutions
  • Providing a high level of technical application support to internal colleagues, publishers and advertisers via email, phone and a ticketing system
  • Actively taking ownership of urgent or business critical requests
  • Debug issues by querying our databases
  • Identifying technical issues/bugs and escalating as appropriate
  • Update and administer internal knowledge base
  • Testing of new developments and features
  • Acting as an intermediary between Account Managers and Developers
  • Provide high level training to internal colleagues

  •  Prioritisation of personal tasks to ensure team goals are met (clear understanding of the difference between ‘important vs. urgent’)
  • Ability to understand web languages such as basic HTML and JavaScript

  • Ability to meet attendance standards and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees, along with working with external suppliers

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision once trained
  • You will be expected to have good understanding of affiliate marketing and what we do in the industry for any role within Affiliate Window.
  • IT-related degree or equivalent work background is essential.
  • Previous experience providing customer service in a sales or technical support position
  • One year of previous experience in a similar role within performance marketing or an internet related business, such as web hosting, ISP, e-commerce solutions provider or digital agency, is highly desirable.
