To assist with and execute core ShareASale marketing functions, including all communications, product marketing, public relations, and collateral to consistently articulate ShareASale’s mission as part of the Awin Group.
The successful candidate will take ownership of special campaigns, assist in project organization and work collaboratively with the Awin Marketing Manager and Head of US Marketing when needed. This position offers the individual a dynamic and creative work environment where ideas are welcome and collaboration is celebrated.
Key responsibilities within this role include:
Generate original content for the ShareASale blog, and create content for external publications.
Maintain content franchises and optimize/update existing content for increased visibility and engagement.
Collaborate with internal teams to create functional messaging surrounding product and technology.
Assist with and gain ownership of specific channels such as Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and other.
Align social content and strategy with greater/overall mission of marketing department and company goals.
Engage with other industry members and clients in a friendly, professional and unique way.
Reporting and Analytics
Make recommendations for existing content strategy based on data and analytics. What content is working and what’s not? What can we change to increase traffic, visibility, etc.
Reporting on social media initiatives.
Establish and monitor paid social campaigns on Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter.
Exercise proper judgement and take responsibility for budget and return on ad spend.
Develop press releases for distribution.
Maintain pitch list and establish relationships with key media contacts.
Generate content ideas based on trending relevant topics in the industry/market.
Collaborate with internal client services, and sales teams to cater marketing initiatives to the various needs of objectives.
Assist with such as the Merchant Discovery Box, Seasonal Lookbook, client gifts and more.
Explore new marketing channels via podcasters, partner prospects, special groups and other. We will look to YOU to generate new ideas, explore new channels and partnerships.
Skills & Expertise
To be successful you will need to meet the below requirements.
At least 3 years’ experience in a digital marketing role with demonstrated understanding of the US e-commerce landscape particularly with regards to the key concepts, challenges and innovations in affiliate marketing
An interest in marketing technology and ability to stay up to date on a dynamic and fast-paced industry
Exceptional editorial and spoken communication skills. Sensitivity to proper grammar usage and knowledge of AP style is a must. We are looking for the grammar police!
Experience in delivering written press releases and articles in an online environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation
Sensitivity to budget, understanding of cost management and supplier negotiation
Understanding of basic design principles, UX, UI
Understanding of HTML editing for emails, websites and online banner management desirable. Familiarity and experience with photoshop and other Adobe design tools a must.
Understanding of project management platforms and other third-party marketing tools (Mailchimp, Podio, Social Media tools, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree or industry related qualification an advantage
