Technical Consultant (f/m)

Purpose of position

The Technical Consultant is responsible for the successful technical implementation of new clients´ programmes or campaigns and for providing technical client support via phone and email.  He/she makes sure the best possible tracking quality is provided and monitors the quality and actuality of technical parameters of the programs. He/she also gives technical advice to the Sales team.  The Technical Consultant supports on IT related questions and issues to support the smooth-running of the operation.

Key Tasks

  • Implementation of new advertiser programmes and campaigns on the Awin UI
  • Debugging the client tracking tag implementation for errors and providing possible solution
  • Providing a high level of technical support to internal colleagues, publishers and advertisers via email, phone and ticketing system
  • Tracking quality monitoring and identifying technical issues
  • Analysing of internal errors and escalating as appropriate
  • Product Data Feeds configuration and quality monitoring
  • Implementation and monitoring of additional Awin technologies
  • Escalation point for technical issues for Account Managers
  • Support of Office IT requests for the local colleagues
  • Optional: Create or amend existing reports based on MySQL queries

Skills & Expertise

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience ideally within performance marketing or an internet related business, such as web hosting, ISP, eCommerce, solution provider or digital agency
  • Ability to understand web languages such as basic HTML and JavaScript
  • Basic knowledge of one programming language (Java, PHP, Ruby etc.)
  • Good understanding of the e-commerce business and firm grasp of current market developments, frequently used solutions and tech providers
  • Proficient MS Office user
  • Strong analytical skills when it comes to quickly understanding new complex technical challenges
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong customer focus and service attitude
  • Very good and focused communication behaviour
  • Constructive conflict behaviour and ability to deescalate conflict situations regards to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Strong sense of responsibility and reliability regarding promises and commitments
  • High willingness to learn and develop oneself
  • Excellent knowledge in English
