We are looking for a high-calibre individual that will excel in developing relationships with digital agencies to deliver increased new business activity and ultimately GP from SME & brand clients.
Working within the Commercial Department, this role offers the successful candidate the opportunity of joining a dynamic and energetic sales team. The individual must be able to liaise with the Head of Commercial & Lead Generation to implement a clear strategy for working at a deeper level with digital agencies, ensuring the company meets revenue and profit objectives through targeted prospecting of medium to large accounts.
The Agency Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing new business primarily through building professional direct relationships with key agency contacts, in-person, over the phone and via the attendance and assistance of organising events.
Working within the Commercial Team the task is to ensure that the vision of the company is met and the direction of Awin’s previous success is accelerated.
The successful candidate will be a proven self-starter with energy and motivation to find, develop and close sales leads. This is a great new opportunity to drive forward the volume of agency business via the Commercial department and contribute to the overall success of Awin.
Key responsibilities within this superb role include:
Maintain close relationships with key identified agencies
Ensure that agencies experience excellent service and are contacted on a regular basis
Research and be the key individual at the network “in the know” with agencies acquiring new brands/large SME business to ensure Awin are always considered within RFP shortlists
Maintain and develop the prospect pipeline daily using salesforce CRM system.
Educate existing agencies and new prospect business about Awin, its market position, products and services and the market as a whole.
Continuously seek and transition new agency partners to be contract active
Develop a strategy to work closely with the Magento Solution Partners
Develop documents to assist with closing new agency business, and provide this to the wider Commercial Department
Suggest and develop new rate card deals to the Head of Commercial & Lead Generation in order to increase new business
Ensure the department is aware of all rate cards and rebate deals so that the agency receives a consistent message from the network
Adopt a consultative and mature approach, able to engage with senior agency decision-makers about strategic market trends, industry progression and online development.
Manage the transition of new merchant accounts through the finance department and technical department to Account Management, Key Accounts or Lead Generation teams for launch onto the network
Respond and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods
Consistency in providing introduction and proposals to prospects. Including market sector targeting, product offer development, features-benefits-solutions selling.
Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information to the team.
Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and customers.
Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.

Skills & Expertise
To be successful you will need to meet the below requirements.
Strong interest in and knowledge of affiliate marketing and breadth of understanding of online media.
Knowledge of Awin products, pricing, competition and sales objectives.
Previous direct sales experience, preferably within a digital industry environment.
Experience selling in Lead Generation campaigns and tailored verification requirements.
Results-oriented, driven by both financial and career opportunities.
Possess strong communication (both verbal and written), and customer service skills, and exchange information with others clearly and concisely.
Ability to meet attendance standards and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees, along with working with external suppliers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.
Superior level financial analytical ability to ensure that the needs of the business and those of the merchants are met.

Previous experience within an Affiliate role preferred.
